One of my goals is to have affordable internet for all Eastsiders.  This service will allow everyone to access the wealth of information available on internet and to allow them to share their talents/passions with each of us.  In addition, our school system has given each child an Ipad to complete their schoolwork, so this service would assist our future generation's success.

I ask everyone to spread the word of this important goal.  Currently, there is an organization trying to promote internet for everyone in St. Paul.

Also, PCs for People can help with affordable computer equipment.

I think an important part of bringing affordable internet to the East Side, and all of St. Paul for that matter, is to remove Comcast's (Xfininty) monopoly on cable tv within St. Paul. Let's get some other cable providers to be able to compete and bring the prices down for everyone. I dumped Comcast several years ago switching to DSL internet and internet based entertainment due to their ridiculous price gouging. I was paying $140 a month just for cable tv and internet. Who can afford that? Not me. Other markets in other cities pay a fraction of that price when there is competition. But Comcast doesn't have to compete, so they just charge as much as people will pay, instead of charging what the market says service is worth.
